Design-Build
Design-build projects provide the owner with a single point of contact who will take complete responsibility for a project. The design-build approach offers potential for significant savings in both time and money on major projects. Over the years, Phoenix Drafting has had the privilege to assist in numerous design-build projects, providing us the experience to contribute to your next big project efficiently and effectively.
3D MODELING
Producing a 3D model benefits the design team, the fabricator and the erector and is the most effective tool to minimize errors and the need for rework. 3D models allow us to detect connection conflicts that would not be visible in 2D format.
BIM SERVICES
Building Information Modeling (BIM) provides a more enhanced and automated workflow by allowing better coordination between design, detailing, fabrication and site operations. Both the design team and the sub-trades benefit from the improved insight and tools to efficiently and more effectively manage the structure and to enhance comprehensive clash detection.
STRUCTURAL STEEL DETAILING
The structural steel detailing process is extremely critical and requires utmost accuracy in developing detailed drawings for steel fabrications and erectors. This includes creating models, connecting the steel, checking, creating assemblies, parts and E sheets complete with the required reports. Phoenix Drafting Services will tailor each project to meet the specific standards of the steel fabricator and erection crew. All our work complies with the AISC code of standard practice and the latest edition of OSHA and the IBC.
ENGINEERING
Phoenix Drafting Services offers comprehensive steel connection design services, including sealed calculations. Connection designs are developed with the requirements of the each fabricator’s shop standards in mind. We will ensure that the most economical connection design is used on every project and that constructability and erectability are taken into account during the connection design process.
